Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use Kairos. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them. We’ve tried to keep them short.

The service

Kairos is an iOS app for daily scripture reading. The free version gives you one verse, the full pause flow, your journal, and the garden — every day, forever. Kairos+ is a paid subscription that adds a personalized verse, reflection, and prayer chosen by Kai based on what you’ve shared.

Subscriptions

Kairos+ is sold as either an Annual or Weekly auto-renewing subscription via the Apple App Store.

• Annual — $39.99 USD per year, with a 3-day free trial available to new subscribers.
• Weekly — $4.99 USD per week, billed at the start of each period. No free trial.

Prices in your local currency are shown on the paywall before purchase.

Auto-renewal

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the same price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

You can manage and cancel your subscription by going to your iOS Settings → your name at the top → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.

Free trial

If a free trial is offered with the Annual plan, you can cancel at any time during the trial without being charged. If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, your Apple ID will be charged for the subscription. Apple sends a reminder one day before the trial ends.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple, so refund requests are handled directly through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We’re happy to advocate for you if something went wrong — email hello@kairosbible.app and we’ll do what we can.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Kairos to harass others, misuse our infrastructure (rate-limit-busting, scraping, abusing the API), or attempt to reverse-engineer the service. We’ll suspend or delete accounts that do.

Your content

Anything you write in your journal stays yours. We don’t train models on it, sell it, or share it beyond the providers listed in our Privacy Policy.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (You → Data & Privacy → Delete account). We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. Either way, deletion cascades through every record tied to your user ID.

Disclaimer of warranties

Kairos is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it running, but we can’t guarantee it’s error-free or always available. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crease Technologies Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability under these terms won’t exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, except where local consumer-protection law gives you a different right you can’t waive.

Changes

If we update these terms in a way that affects you materially, we’ll surface a notice in the app and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated terms.
